Vultsi means "Wolves". They are not normal wolves, being of great stature and intelligence. They can be almost any color and any mix of colors. There are seven packs (called pyaks) and their names are Tusara Pyak, Haize Pyak, Mahni Pyak, Necib Pyak, Celd Pyak, Ala Pyak and Det Pyak.
A Reiu is the King/Leader/Alpha of a pyak and he is the ultimate authority over his pyak, but even he must obey Vultsi laws. His Rali is the Queen of the pyak. She is the keeper of the laws and must always be vigilant to follow them and keep her Reiu and pyak in line.
A Vtori wolf is the Second/Beta/General/Commander of the pyak and he or she is in charge of the pyak's safety and well-being. The Vtori organizes patrolling, hunting and fighting. This wolf has the authority to take charge of the pyak in the event that both the Reiu and the Rali are unable to fulfill their duty for a time, but are not dead.
Helper wolves are Vultsi whos' places in the pyak are those of hunters, fighters, babysitters and the like. They don't hold any true place of authority and there are usually one-to-three of them in a pyak. Helper wolves can have many special talents or little talent at all.
An Apos is a wolf who holds the position as the Omega/Least of the pyak. He or she is at the bottom of the totem pole and is usually a coward or a runt. The Apos is often times messing up and punished for disobedience by anyone higher than he or she in the pyak.
Vultsi can run as fast as a dragon can fly if they push themselves and they can leap impossible heights like the sides of mountains. Their strength is something to behold and two or three Vultsi can take down a fire dragon without only a few minutes. Vultsi jaws are strong enough to pierce dragon scales. Their presence combats dragon gifts just as dragons combat many of their own powers. These powers are not often disclosed by the Vultsi and rarely still do they allow themselves so close to dragons that these gifts can be held away from them.

The Northern Pyaks - the entire territory undivided between the Tusara Pyak and Haize Pyak:
- Mitheithel to the west.
- The Glanduin, Lothlorien, the Anduin, the Dead Marshes and the Ered Lithui to the south.
- The Ered Mithrin and Iron Hills to the north.
- The Carnen, Northern Rhun, the Ered Aearon and Southern Rhun to the east.
Divided into the Tusara Pyak and the Haize Pyak:
- Mitheithel to the west.
- The Glanduin, Lothlorien and the southern end of Eryn Lasgalen to the south.
- The Anduin and the eastern edge of Eryn Lasgalen to the east.
- The Ered Mithrin to the north.

- The Misty Mountains to the east.

The Western Pyaks (there are two: Ala Pyak and Det Pyak) do not fight over territory as the many hills and mountains in their territory act as natural boundaries and the two pyaks get along anyway. The Ala Pyak stays to the north and the Det Pyak stays to the south.
