Dragon Colors

"Color-to-color" dragons are creatures that have colors that blend into each other, slowly bleeding from one color to another.

Dragons of two colors "color and color" are creatures who's colors are choppy with no blending.

Arienel's Family

Click any picture to make it bigger.

This is Edinon. The hair is supposed to be dark gold, but this is virtually him.

Ethon. This is Ethon. Enough said.

This is a picture of what Edonar looks like. His hair is a bit darker in this (it is supposed to be a dark gold), but overall, this is what he looks like.

This picture if of Lohinon. He's really not happy that I killed him...

This is Lothril, Elladan's wife. She is really quite pretty, don't you think?

I think this is what Elrohir (left) and Elladan (right) look like. Just my opinion, though. :)

Haiawen. She has black hair and green-black eyes. She is the wife of Legolas, a peredhil and the grand-daughter of Elladan. Her father was Ellion, Elladan's son, and her mother was a Rohirric woman.

Elladan (right) and Elrohir (left). This is another picture that I consider to be a good image of what MY Dan and Ro look like.

Arienel is finally betrothed to Elrohir and is now on her way to Rivendell with Morroch, the twins, Lothril and Elrond. Her shape-shifter plans on departing soon for the Dragon Clan, but Arienel still needs his support as she is to meet her blood-father, Thranduil, the King of Mirkwood for the very first time - though, she does not yet know it.

To make matters even more interesting in this already anxious point in her life, Arienel's Foresight is starting to act up strangely...showing her a world she'd never imagined...but who's eyes is she seeing it through?

And can peace with Harad really be reached? Aragorn and Faramir seem to think so, but what will the cost be and who will survive the perilous trip into enemy lands?

Arienel and Morroch

Arienel in the beginning. Her hair is redder, but this is mostly what she looks like.

Another picture of Arienel. She's aged a bit from the last photo. She doesn't look as innocent, but then again, she's not that innocent anymore as this is her pictured further on in the series. Her hair is a bit redder than in this picture, but not by that much.

Morroch in horse form. He is part Shape-shifter Dragon and horse. He has a SMALL smudge of white on his nose that this horse doesn't have.

Morroch in wolf form! Isn't he just cool?

Morroch in large cat form.

Morroch in his dragon form. This picture is not exactly right, but it's hard to find the dragons I have pictured in my head online. So yeah, this is Morroch, give or take a few aspects.

Morroch as a half-elf. He remained this way for only a day, but I think he deserved a picture, don't you?

Messenger Dragons

Messenger Dragons are the smallest and swiftest in the Dragon clan. They are thin and light with only two small horns on their heads. They have strong wings and light scales like a Sky Dragon with feathery texture like the Knowledge Dragons. Their colors are usually blues and whites with some greens. They love to fly and race, are kindhearted and most don't hold it over the other dragons that they are the fastest. Messenger Dragons like to live in busy places and, therefore, live everywhere. Their favorite homes are deep in the mountains with their Knowledge Dragon kin who always seem to have messages that need delivering.

Knowledge Dragons

Knowledge Dragons are the collectors and keepers of the Dragon history. They love to learn and discover new things. Curious by nature, they are the most likely to stumble upon or get into trouble with humans. They are not malicious, but they do have the will to fight if threatened and are quite fast. Knowledge Dragons are smaller then Shape-shifters, but not as small as Messengers. They are thin and sleek and have no horns or spikes. Their scales are feathery, soft and their colors vary from silver, gray, black, purple, sand, green, blue and a light yellow - they can also consist of a mix of two or more colors. Knowledge Dragons prefer quiet caves deep in the mountains as their homes so their treasures of books, scrolls, maps and antiques are less likely to be destroyed and they can work in peace. Knowledge Dragons have tend to have many dragonlings and, therefor, are abundant in the Dragon Clan.

Shape-shifter Dragons

Shape-shifter Dragons are the most unpredictable of all the dragons. They tend to be fast flyers and small in size, though not as small as the Messenger or Knowledge Dragons. They each have an elemental gift: fire, water, sky or earth. Their colors are as unique as the dragon itself - sometimes being solid and sometimes consisting of many colors. Some enjoy battle while others are lovers of knowledge. Some appreciate growing things and others like fire. Shape-shifters are also different in the fact that some of the strong ones can shift into one of the Free People: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Maia, etc and other animals. Halfbreed Shape-shifters have every ability to shift as a pure-blooded Shape-shifter would. In fact, the ability to shape-shift never dies out of the blood, no matter what generation, though, the potent might be diluted. Shape-shifters do not breed fast like the other dragons and so their population is controlled. These dragons do not tend to have permanent homes due to their natural curiosity and their ability to change their form.

Sky Dragons

Sky Dragons are flying dragons. They can control clouds, wind and some types of things that occur with weather like lightning and thunder. Their wings are larger then most dragons, they have no horns, spikes or ridges and they are sleek in appearance, their scales thin and light to allow air to flow over and through them. These dragons tend to be light in color, most being born white, gray or a light blue. Dark blues are rare. Sky Dragons are small and nimble, often making their homes in the crevices and caves on the side of cliff-faces. They are not partial to heat or cold as long as they have the freedom of flight.

Water Dragons

They are sleek, their scales smooth and almost seamless and thin for swimming. They have webbed feet, no spikes or horns - though, they do have small, soft ridges on the back - and their colors range from dark to light blues and greenish-blue. Some have a bit of brown in them, but this is rare. Water Dragons like being near water, naturally. Some like warmer temperatures and others like cooler climates, but there must always be water nearby for them to ever settle down and call a place home.

Chosen Dragons

Every Dragon has a "chosen". These dragons have special titles and special talents. They can be halfbreeds or pure-blooded, dragonling, Kinwa or a grown dragon. It does not matter as long as they fit the description of the "chosen". These dragons are born randomly, sometimes providing the Dragon Clan with one or more "chosen" dragon. There has never been more then five "chosen" alive at one time and no less then one.

The Fire Dragons' "chosen" is called a Ripconre (White Spirit). This dragon will be able to produce white fire and be immune to water. Weakness is being underground and earth - something that is vital to be near to if a dragon wants to stay hidden from humans, dwarves and elves. There have been three Ripconre.

The Battle Dragons' "chosen" is called Autinor (Blood-bringer). Legend says that this dragon will be male and never be wounded in battle. He will have unnatural long-life (even for a dragon). There have been no Autinor in Battle Dragon history.

The Earth Dragons' "chosen" is called Sakino or Sakina (depending on the gender). The meaning is Earth Brother or Earth Sister. These dragons are connected to nature in a unique way that their kin are not, being able to understand what others cannot and fix it. Weakness is nature connected - if it suffers, so does the dragon. There have been four Sakino and three Sakina.

The Treasure Dragons' "chosen" is called Broynii (Collector). It is mostly unknown and only speculated what this dragon will be able to do. There has never been a Broynii that the Treasure Dragons know of.

The Water Dragons' "chosen" is called Ceienas (Rain Dancer) and is always female. This dragoness will have complete control over the river, lakes and rain of Arda. The only downfall is that her lifespan will be cut short by 2,000 years. There has been one Ceienas.

The Sky Dragons' "chosen" is called Kiniiroc (Windtamer) and is usually male. This dragon can turn his body into the wind he controls and is responsible for the storms while he lives. Weakness is unknown at this time. There have been fifteen Kiniiroc.

The Shape-shifter Dragons' "chosen" is called Ankinaraas (Heartchanger). This dragon is not able to shift but more then nine times in life after reaching adulthood and will never shift as a dragonling. This dragon's skill lies not in its physical ability to change shape, but its ability to change the views, opinions and hearts of those around it. There has been one Ankinaraas in Shape-shifter Dragon history.

The Knowledge Dragons' "chosen" is called Talikan (Knowledge-Keeper). This dragon has the power to use any knowledge or information in history and the present to shape events around it. Only weakness is that this dragon is not able to gain knowledge unless it knows the name of the person who possess this knowledge. There have been twelve Talikan.

The Messenger Dragons' "chosen" is called Sanitanaas (Light-Runner). This dragon is said to never tire and fly at speeds that rival the best Messenger Dragons. Weakness is unknown. There have been no Sanitanaas in Messenger Dragon history.

Some of the Basics about Dragons

Dragonling names will appear like this before they acquire their Full Name when they become Kinwa: Fang (water) or Star (tree). They will be known as Fang or Star. The ( ) is to show you what they will become when they acquire their Full Names.

If two or more dragonlings are named the same in the beginning (Example: Firescale and Firespirit would be - as dragonlings - Fire and Fire) then the second part of their name is also given to tell them apart. So two dragonlings named "Fire" would now have the first (and sometimes second) letter of the second part of their Full Name added to their dragonling name. An example of this: Fire and Fire would become Firesc - for Firescale - and Firesp - for Firespirit. Another example that can be used is the name "Flame". Flame for two dragonlings could become Flamet - for Flametooth - and Flamem - for Flamemoon.

Halfbreed dragonlings go in whichever category of dragon their father happens to be. Example: Dragonlings of a Fire Dragon male and a Water Dragon female would be in the Fire Dragon section because their father is a Fire Dragon. This is always so until the dragonlings get older and start either a) showing more of a Water Dragon talent or b) chooses to be known by their mother's type of dragon instead of their father's type.

Names are very important to the dragons. They put much thought into the first names they give to their dragonlings and they try to take into account that this name must be able to grow to fit the dragonling later when they get older. Dragon names usually fit either a temperament, color or talent of a dragon.

Dragons like the languages of the Free People - mostly Elven - and sometimes will name their dragonlings either in another language or partially in another language. Example: Voronflame. Voron is Elven for "Loyal" and Flame is, well, flame. Voronflame means "Loyal Flame".

Halfbreed dragons are usually given names that represent both parents. Names like Flame (brook) - Fire and Water dragons - and Ink (pearl) - Knowledge and Treasure dragons - are a mixture of both the father and the mother's species of dragon. Sometimes the father-like name will be first or other times the mother-like name will be first - it all depends on the dragonling.

Dragons range from many different sizes - huge and small. This is the order from largest to smallest of the dragons in the Dragon Clan.

Kinwa are young dragons that have not really grown into themselves, but are not children anymore. Kinwa can pair with another Kinwa and when they find this mate they become a Fangna or Clawnii.

Fangna are grown female dragoness.

Clawnii are grown male dragons.

Catinees (female) or Catiniis (male) are healer dragons.

Halfbreed dragons (dragons of two types. Example: Fire and Water) are indicated by an * sign.
